Moral values are crumbling

• Only 22% of all Americans believe moral truths are absolute, meaning that those moral truths or principles do not change according to the circumstances, based upon a poll conducted by the Barna Group, August 2005
  


• That means an astounding 64% do not believe there are moral absolutes (14% don't know)
  
  

Immorality and depravity run rampant

Crime, divorce, and domestic violence are out of control

• A record 6.9 million adults (1 in 32) were incarcerated, on probation, or or parole according to a recent Justice Department Study.
  
  

• Government, schools, and even Churches are morally bankrupt

• Public schools teach evolution and humanism
  
  
• Evolution teaches them that they have evolved from lower life forms, consequently not created in the image of God with a divine purpose
  
  
• Humanism teaches them that they are their own God, consequently not accountable to God their creator, either today, on judgment day, or ever
  
  

• Many young people do not believe in God, or that there are moral absolutes

  The price we are paying as Americans for our low Moral Values is staggering; here are just a few examples:

  • The rate of teenage suicides has nearly tripled in the last 25 years-- 500,000 each year, all this anguish because of a disregard for God's Moral Spiritual Law of His Will for our lives.
  • The Divorce Rate has quadrupled from 4.3 million in 1970 to 18.3 million in 1996 and is over 50%, in rejection of God's Moral Spiritual Laws of Love, and of Loyalty
  • Americans have murdered over 45 million innocent babies to satisfy their sexual immorality since the ruling in 1973 by the U.S. Supreme Court in Roe v. Wade. This was in direct contempt of God's Moral Spiritual Law of The Sanctity of Life. This was also done even though the 14th Amendment states: "...nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty or property, without due process of law, nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the law."
  • Americans now spend $10 billion a year on adult entertainment--pornography, in blatant defiance of God's Moral Spiritual Law of Sexuality.
  • Driving under the influence of alcohol is the leading cause of death for people ages 15-24, all this heartache could have been avoided if we would have lived by God's Moral Spiritual Law of Abstinence.
  • HIV infection estimate tops 1 million, 40,000 new HIV infections a year since the 1990s. Much of this pain and suffering could have been avoided if we would have lived by God's Moral Spiritual Laws of Sexuality and of Righteousness.
  
  
  

  Here is a Christian book that puts it all back in perspective

  • God's Word- The Holy Bible, is eternal, "Your word, O Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens." (Psalm 119:89 NIV)
  • There are moral absolutes in His Word, "This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome." (1 John 5:3 NIV)
  • There are Moral Laws in our universe, "Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin. No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him." (1 John 3:4-6 NIV)
  • God's Moral Laws are as eternal as His Word is, since they are in His Eternal Word, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away." (Luke 21:33 NIV)
  • No one will get into heaven just by obeying the commandments, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith- and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:8-10 NIV)
  • You must receive the Lord Jesus Christ into your heart and pray for forgiveness of your sins and repent (turn from your sins) to get into heaven."...Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off- for all whom the Lord our God will call." (Acts 2:38-39 NIV)
  • If you are a Christian and love God, you will want to let your light shine by being obedient to his commandments out of love for him. "If you love me, you will obey what I command." (John 14:15 NIV)
  • Divine guidance for your every moral decision is available
  • Your moral behavior can be changed for the better
  • The ageless questions of mankind like, "What is life?" "What am I doing here?" "What comes after life?" "What is truth?" do have answers.
  • They were right there all the time, in God's Eternal Word- The Holy Bible!
